EXOLOOK: launching a women's clothing brand from scratch — +500% in a year
A Ukrainian women's activewear brand with its own production.
EXOLOOK is a Ukrainian women’s activewear brand with its own production: jumpsuits, leggings, tops, rashguards, shorts.
We launched the brand from a complete zero: a new website, Meta and Google accounts — everything built from a blank sheet. From the start the site had strong UI/UX, quality photos and its own pricing — and it’s a separate brand, not connected to the client’s other projects by anything but shared owners. The client handed EXOLOOK to us after a few months of successful cooperation on another of their projects — because they realized we could be trusted.
Task
Launch a completely new brand the market knows nothing about yet. The first goal — take advertising to break-even (the minimum necessary level of profitability), then to profit and scale. We immediately split the campaigns into media (brand awareness, growing Instagram) and performance (sales on the site — catalog, direct ads).
Our approach
- Launched two sources at once — Meta and Google — from scratch.
- Split into media and performance campaigns for different goals.
- A large volume of creative tests — static and video — to find the working format.
- Parallel work on Instagram and sales: growing the active audience and sales through the site.
Challenges
- Starting from a complete zero. Accounts with no conversion history had to be «trained» from scratch. Reaching break-even took about 2–3 months — a strong result for a brand built from nothing.
- Technical issues with conversions. Duplicated purchases and add-to-carts, incorrect data transfer to the accounts. Together with the client we improved the technical side of the site and set up clean, correct data transfer — after which the campaigns started learning and optimizing properly.
Result
About 3 months — to break-even; from month 5–6 the project has been steadily in profit. In a year the brand grew by +500% from a complete zero.
We built an active Instagram audience (~8,700 followers from zero) and reached stable Meta and Google.
Now we’re testing TikTok, and the client is planning media buys with bloggers. A brand completely unknown at the start is confidently moving toward the market leaders.
